*Coba it is an increase in its social and political status among my and city States which could ultimately make Coba one of the biggest and most powerful city states in the north and Yucatan areas .
*Among that trading routes ,coba probably controlled prots like xel ha.
*Coba must have maintained close contact with the large city States of Guatemala and the south of Campeche like tikal ,dzibanche,or chalakmul.
*To maintain its influence,coba must have established military alliance and arranged marriage among their elites.
*Coba was abondoned at the time the Spanish conquer the peninsula around 1550.
*The names of 14th leaders, including a woman named yopaat, who ruled Coba between ad 502 780.
*The archaeological site of coba received 702, 749 visitors in 2017.
*Coba's main attraction is there ancient pyramid.
*There are also three hotels, one camp site and seven restaurant scattered throughout the site and there is a small pueblo near the rwins, with some restaurant and small shops selling local.
